THE MIGHTY MISS MALONE

The Mighty Miss Malone

I Know, I know, it's been a longgggg time! What would cause me to make a reappearance you ask? This book by Christopher Paul Curtis. This book makes my heart sing and gives me life. So of course I had to come share it with all of you. It's the story of the Malone family. They are on a journey to a place called Wonderful and before they can get there, the Great Big Bad Depression hits! Deza will tell you all about it. You might remember her from the award winning book Bud not Buddy by the same author. This one is another winner for sure.

THE HUNGRY THING

THIS IS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE BOOKS! Just writing about it here makes me smile. Yes, THE HUNGRY THING is a monster but such a lovely one he is and when he comes to this little town asking for something to eat well, who can deny him? Not anyone.

Everyone in town tries to give him something good to eat and of course he likes everything he gets but how he asks is the fun of this book. It will become your child's favorite in no time and yours as well.
